Some of the key responsibilities for the engineering position include;
Create internal design drawings and customer quote / job drawings to support day to day activities using Solidworks CAD software.
Support production activities in updating and designing of tooling equipment to improve overall efficiency of production assembly.
Complete technical calculations for customers using in-house programs.
Technical writing of reports, project plans, specifications, and proposals.
Some hands-on production support may be required to facilitate high order volumes within certain months.
Qualifications :
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a focus of study in Mechanical Engineering. (required)
0-2 years work in the field of study.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office basics (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.). (required)
Experience with design software (SolidWorks, Ansys, etc.). (preferred)
Experience with hands on assembly / modifications / repairs related to mechanical equipment. Experience in use of various hand and power tools. (preferred)
Familiarity with ASME Sec VIII, B31.1 and / or B31.3 codes. (preferred)
Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, and problem-solving skills. (required)
Valid Canadian driver’s license. (required)
Willingness to work or travel for international fieldwork (valid Canadian passport required).
