They have partnered with Ryan Lee of MacDonald Search Group to search for a Manager of Safety and Compliance for their Calgary, Alberta operation.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and manage safety and compliance procedures to ensure the company meets and exceeds industry and organization standards
  • Complete internal audits, assessments and investigations to mitigate risk.
  • Develop and present written procedures about safety to ensure organization is kept up to date
  • Deliver new driver on boarding program to ensure staff is educated on the protocols and procedures that organization follows.
  • Assist with completing paperwork relating to accident reporting, trip sheets and new hire documentation.
  • Assisting the leadership team in recruiting, selecting, testing and hiring qualified drivers.
  • Manage all company transportation regulatory policies and procedures to ensure they are documented, implemented, communicated and promoted.
  • Continuous professional development to better understand the industry and the new trends.

Requirements :

  • 3+ years of experience in a Safety and Compliance position within the transportation industry.
  • Solid knowledge of industry safety regulations, industry trends and health and safety regulations.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Excellent analytic and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in handling conflict and stressful situations as needed.
  • Ability to travel with no restrictions.
  • Solid time management and organization skills.
