About the Role :

Our client, a well-established architectural firm in Edmonton with a team of 50+ professionals, is seeking a skilled Architect to lead commercial and institutional projects. This role is perfect for an experienced architect whos passionate about designing impactful spaces and eager to work in a collaborative, client-focused environment. If you have 10+ years of experience in architecture and are open to relocating to Edmonton, this could be the opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership : Lead design efforts for commercial and institutional projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Client Engagement : Act as the clients primary point of contact, building strong relationships and guiding them through the project lifecycle.
  • Team Collaboration : Coordinate with project teams, including designers, engineers, and other architects, to develop cohesive and innovative project solutions.
  • Technical Expertise : Oversee the preparation of architectural plans, specifications, and technical documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.
  • Project Management : Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to deliver results within scope and on time.

Qualifications

  • Experience : 10+ years in architecture, with a strong focus on commercial and institutional projects.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), with a comprehensive understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Education : Masters degree in Architecture, and licensure as a registered architect.
  • Interpersonal Skills : Strong communication and client-facing skills, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
