Responsibilities :

  • Providesbusiness analysis support on largescale complex highprofile andhighrisk I&IT projects (multiple) for the Ministry ofIndigenous Affairs and First Nations Economic Reconciliation(IAFNER).
  • Ensuresbusiness requirements are fully captured and aligned with projectdeliverables ensuring that business needs are met on time withinscope and budget while adhering to OPS business analysismethodologies and frameworks for efficiency andcosteffectiveness.
  • Communicateseffectively diplomatically and tactfully with multiple stakeholdersand Ministry branches ensuring all business needs and projectrequirements are clearly understood anddocumented.
  • Facilitatesbusiness process changes using structured analysis techniquesmethods and frameworks to identify opportunities for improvementsand ensure project success for both the business and theMinistry.
  • Supportsplanning and delivery of business analysis activities using Agileand Digital approaches ensuring smooth coordination betweenbusiness needs and technical projectdeliverables.
  • Providesa comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis servicesfor clients with diverse business and technologicalneeds.
  • Interactswith the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in orderto understand their requirements through gathering documenting andanalyzing business needs andrequirements.
  • Preparesand advises on business analysis policies processes best practicesand standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent businessanalysis practice within the organization.
  • KnowledgeTransfer to Cluster assigned resources of BA artifacts businessneeds and related information gathered as part of theproject.

GeneralSkills :

  • Leadsand conducts business analysis in order to assess client s businessproblems / opportunities and documents the business requirements insuch a way that I&IT solutions can bedetermined.
  • Appliesreengineering concepts to promote business improvements throughalternative and cost effective service delivery approaches Leadsand conducts business analysis at varying levels of detailappropriate to the project and phases of project aligning with OPSUnified Project Management Methodology Enterprise Architecture andGating Process and OPS Standard Systems Development MethodologiesDevelops strategies prepares business cases and costbenefitanalysis and conducts feasibility studies for business I&ITinitiatives
  • Developssound processes for requirements gathering including but notlimited to JAD sessions interviews mockupsetc.
