Our valued public sector client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to implement an Enterprise Investment Planning & Project Management (E-IPPM) Information System.
Background :
we are looking to implement an Enterprise Investment Planning & Project Management (E-IPPM) Information System for the Department.
An E-IPPM system is the logical organization and tracking of the information required for an organization to execute investment activities and projects successfully.
An E-IPPM system is typically composed of software applications and a methodical process for collecting and using investment / project / programme information.
These electronic systems help to plan, execute, report and close investment planning and project management goals
Responsibilities :
- Review and collate all available E-IPPM project information.
- Create all required project artefacts as required.
- Manage all elements of the E-IPPM project and its associated project team.
- Manage the E-IPPM project development, implementation and operations startup.
- Ensure the project is developed and is fully operational within previously agreed time, cost and performance parameters.
- Formulate statements of problem(s) and establish procedures for the development and implementation of modified project elements to solve these problems.
- Define and document the objectives for the project.
- In collaboration with the Project Authority, determine budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities for the project team.
- Report on progress of the project on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the lifecycle.
- Organize meetings in conference with stakeholders and other project managers and state problems in a form capable of being solved.
- Prepare plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems.
- Work with a variety of project management tools.
- Follow internal project management framework
- Liaise with internal stakeholders involved in the Project
- Record proceedings and prepare minutes of meetings, and coordinate and produce project documentation.
- Provide ad-hoc advice / briefings, based on project status and health, activities, risks and issues.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff who are working on the Project, which includes transfer of knowledge.
- Prepare briefing material and presentations for senior management, stakeholders and others.
- Prepare strategy to facilitate training / implementation of new processes and procedures
Must haves :
- 7+ year Previous experience leading a project from inception to completion .
- Previous experience setting up a E-IPPM office .
- Working with in an agile environment
