Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assembler to work in a clean room 80% of the time, and also perform assembly at the table.

Candidates must be open to performing both roles.

Shift :

• Monday to Friday, 7 : 00am-3 : 00pm
• OT available.

Pay :

$23-$25 / hr depending on experience

Requirements :

• 1+ years working in a clean room
• 1+ years experiences mechanical and / or electrical assembly on small products
• Able to use small hand tools
• Good hand / eye coordination
• Able to follow written English instructions
• Comfortable doing repetitive work

Job Duties

• PCB and Hardware assembly
• Soldering
• Electrical & Mechanical Assembly
• Using MS Office and ERP systems
• Crimpers, soldering tools, snaggers, wire cutters
• Manual assembly and visual inspection of electro-optical assemblies
• Chemical handling for production processes
• Perform manual assembly and visual inspection of electro-optical assemblies on all products
• Prepare and handle chemicals for use in the production processes
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
• Job duty is performed in Class 1000 Cleanroom environment where noise and air pressure could be a factor
• The adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental and HR policies by ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and legislation
• Complete routine tasks with minimal supervision
• Provide support and feedback to Quality and Manufacturing Engineering
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor
• Incumbent will be cross trained as required to support business requirements
• Support Lean and Health and Safety Initiatives

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s), and ability to go permanent after contract.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Surrey, British Columbia

Work Environment

Clean & quiet environment, working in teams of 2 to accomplish daily goals, clean rooms on site, open concept production floor plan, working in sections called 'cells'.

Team-based culture with an 'everyone helps out' attitude. Dress code includes closed toe shoes (STWB optional), gloves, mask, and jacket provided.
