Thisposition is full time and is required for the 2023-2024 school year. SERT Responsibilities :

• Beresponsible for the effective instruction and evaluation of students withexceptional learning needs.
• Beresponsible for the effective management of all student behavior.
• Demonstrate an ability to differentiateacademic instruction.
• DesigningIndividualized Educational Plans (IEPs). Providing modified and accommodative programing to students.
• Adaptlearning materials to student’s needs.
• Coach / mentorother professionals who work with children with exceptionalities. Qualifications & Skills :
• Proven successfulexperience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role.
• Good knowledge ofcurrent special education topics and methodologies.
• Experienceworking with children with a wide range of exceptionalities.
• Excellenttechnology skills. Knowledge ofIndigenous Culture an asset.
• Speakingof the Ojibway language an asset but not essential.
• Excellentverbal and written communication skills.
• Abilityto work positively with other staff members.
