The Primary Construction Team consists of ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc. (ACCIONA) and Amico Major Projects Inc. (Amico), as Trillium Guideway Partners (TGP).
What is the project?
The Ontario Line (“OL”) is a fully integrated, stand-alone, rapid transit system that connects Ontario Science Centre to the Exhibition and Ontario Place grounds. The Northern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (“NC”) project consists of approximately 7 kms of underground subway and elevated guideway, with stations along the segment providing connections to surface bus and streetcar routes. The NC project has been divided into two main progressive design-build contracts : (1) the Elevated Guideways and Stations Contract (“EGS”) and the Pape Tunnel and Underground Station Contract (“PTUS”), with supporting Early Works.
What is the Opportunity?
The Bull Crew Supervisor supports various construction activities on-site. The primary responsibilities will include managing material handling, site preparation, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, flexibility, and the ability to coordinate logistics across multiple locations.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure all sites are set up and maintained in a clean and organized manner, including cleaning the road, dust control and preparing surfaces for construction activities.
- Be prepared to move between different construction sites as needed, ensuring consistent support and coordination across locations.
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors’ work, ensuring they perform on schedule and in accordance with safety protocols.
- Operate basic construction equipment and tools as needed, following proper safety procedures.
- Be prepared to respond and work during emergencies to ensure the safety and continuity of site operations.
- Maintain effective communication with managers and team members to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.
- Manage and supervise a team and promote a learning and growth culture.
Work Conditions :
Work Location : Don Mills Area, North York. Next to Science Centre.Must possess a valid Ontario Driving license G or G2.Able to perform in a fast-paced environment, under different weather and environmental conditions.May require working extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet project deadlines.What You’ll bring to the Team (Knowledge, Skills, Competencies)
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant experience may offset educational requirements.Strong knowledge of construction processes, material handling, and site preparation.5-10 years of proven experience in construction or a related field, in large and complex construction project / industrial project / logistic project.Proven ability to manage multiple locations and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteStrong problem-solving and organizational skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.Please note that only candidates that meet requirements will be contacted.
