Fitzrovia is seeking a Manager, Asset Management to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the financial and operational performance of Fitzrovia’s portfolio of purpose-built rental communities.
The Manager will take a lead role in property-level analysis, asset strategy execution, and financial reporting, while contributing to portfolio-wide initiatives and cross-functional projects. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who is strong in financial modeling, data-driven decision-making, and real estate operations— and who is ready to step into a more strategic, leadership-oriented position within the asset management function.

As we are a highly collaborative team, this role is on-site full-time, and the successful candidate will be required to work in the office Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of asset business plans across assigned properties.
- Monitor and evaluate property performance, financial results, and operational KPIs, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
- Support the execution of asset business plans across multiple properties, ensuring alignment with operational, financial, and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with Property Management to monitor property performance, identify operational improvements, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Assist with annual budgeting and capital planning, providing analytical insight into expense management, revenue optimization, and long‑term value creation.
- Identify and evaluate value‑add opportunities such as renovations, energy efficiency programs, and technology upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align leasing, marketing, and capital initiatives with portfolio strategy.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Lead detailed financial modeling, forecasting, and data‑driven analysis to support property and portfolio‑level decision‑making.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including variance analyses, key performance indicators, and benchmarking.
- Develop and refine Excel‑based analytical tools to enhance portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and scenario analysis.
- Support valuation processes, including coordination and review of appraisals and internal value assessments.
- Prepare executive‑level presentations summarizing asset performance, capital plans, and investment recommendations.
New Property Launches & Development Transition
- Support the successful launch of new communities, ensuring seamless transition from construction to operations.
- Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and rent positioning to inform pricing and leasing strategies.
- Monitor lease‑up performance and work closely with internal teams to refine operating assumptions and lease‑up plans for new developments.
Partnerships & Growth Initiatives
- Support the team in evaluating new business opportunities, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Participate in due diligence, underwriting, and business case preparation for potential investments.
- Support the preparation of materials for investors, lenders, and joint venture partners, including asset summaries, lender packages, and performance updates.
- Assist in the evaluation of new investment opportunities through detailed financial modeling, market research, and sensitivity analyses.
- Collaborate with the Asset Management leadership team to identify process improvements, new technologies, and analytical tools to enhance efficiency and insight.
- Build relationships with lenders, brokers, and other third‑party stakeholders to enhance Fitzrovia’s network and execution capability.
- Contribute to corporate initiatives related to technology adoption, ESG strategies, and process improvement within the Asset Management function.
Qualifications and Experiences
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of progressive experience in real estate asset management, investment, or related field; multi‑family experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in asset management and assisting in complex projects will be considered an asset.
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills with expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented professional, skilled at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines with strong analytical abilities and a deep sense of accountability.
