Engineering Technician / Technologist

We are looking to hire a Engineering Technician / Technologist to join our Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON, on a full-time basis. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hrs / day or 4 on, 3 off, 10 hrs / day.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, the Engineering Technician is responsible for various engineering functions related to underground mining.

Reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer or designate, some of your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following :

• Design and issue drill patterns, loading and timing for production blasting
• Assist with borehole surveys and fragmentation studies
• Conduct ventilation surveys of the underground workings, perform inspections, and troubleshoot to maintain compliance
• Assist with various underground surveying tasks of active headings and issue updated driving layouts
• Conduct routine underground inspections that will allow for efficient planning / design tasks
• Gather and analyze data, plan, organize and prioritize work, deliver timely information
