Overview
We are seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Industrial Infrastructure team based in our Calgary office. It is anticipated that inspection assignments for this role will primarily involve earthworks and containment system projects at industrial landfill facilities located outside the Calgary area, most likely in central and northern Alberta. It’s expected that the individual in this role would utilise banked time accumulated during the typical earthworks construction season to take extended time off during winter months.
You will be the Engineer’s representative and will be responsible for providing oversight of construction on projects. This includes, but is not not limited to :
- Monitoring the Contractor’s operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, design specifications, and drawings
- Monitoring progress and schedules
- Daily drone surveys (pilot training will be provided)
- Preparing daily & weekly reports
- Maintaining projects records and site diaries
- Reviewing contractor work procedure submissions
- Monitoring of quality control testing
- Reviewing on-site quantities
Qualifications
What you will bring :
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Construction Inspection roleExperience with contract administration and on-site inspection principles, practices, and techniquesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsCommitted team player and the ability to work independentlyA diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Construction Management is an assetPrior experience with a consulting firm is an assetValid Driver’s LicenseWillingness and ability to travel#J-18808-Ljbffr
