Job description

Job Title : Sr Oracle DBA

Job Type : Permanent full time

Location : Downtown, Toronto

Onsite Requirement : 1 day

Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle 19c to join our client’s team.

Key Requirements

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle 19c databases on Linux / Windows environments.
  • Monitor database health, performance, and capacity planning, ensuring optimal database functionality.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Guard, and other tools.
  • Perform patching, upgrades, and migrations to ensure system stability and security.
  • Implement and maintain Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and GoldenGate configurations as needed.

Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, including hands-on work with Oracle 19c.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard and RMAN.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL / SQL, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and cloud-based Oracle databases
  • Experience in database security, auditing, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
