Base pay range

$83,000.00 / yr - $100,000.00 / yr

Key Accountabilities

Supervise maintenance personnel and ensure the facility and equipment are in a safe and operational state of readiness at all times to meet daily production requirements. Direct and assign personnel to necessary tasks. Ensure all personnel adhere to all FSQA Food Safety Procedures and follow all safety procedures. Perform electrical and mechanical repairs as needed. Ensure compliance with the Preventative Maintenance Program. Perform Root Cause Analysis on equipment failures.

About The Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on, technically skilled Bakery Maintenance Supervisor to lead our second shift maintenance team in ensuring optimal equipment performance and facility safety. This role plays a key part in driving production efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across our bakery operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Maintenance Manager in maintaining the facility and equipment in a safe and operational state of readiness at all times to meet daily production requirements.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager with breakdowns and call‑ins.
  • Assist in the established preventative maintenance program which includes lubrication, inspections and engineering sanitation schedules to minimize production down time.
  • Participate in the development of the engineering department staff.
  • Assist in scheduling engineering staff to support schedules, production and non‑production hours.
  • Help maintain the engineering department’s shop and equipment.
  • Assist in purchasing and maintaining proper inventory levels of equipment spare parts.
  • Consult with Maintenance Manager on long and short term improvement needs.
  • Facilitate open communication with each subordinate and department head to ensure equipment problems are addressed in a timely basis.
  • Assist in maintaining comprehensive and complete engineering records, including preventive maintenance manuals.
  • Support all regulated equipment and processes.
  • Contribute to the production of a consistent quality product through maintaining and updating facility engineering practices.
  • Aid Maintenance Manager in keeping all outside agency compliance, mandates, inspections, and requirements including : OSHA, AQMD, HAZMAT, AIB, insurance, county, state and federal agencies.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and two‑way communication with co‑workers and other personnel throughout the Company.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • 14–16 years of relevant experience, including industry certifications (e.g., AIB).
  • 5–10 years in maintenance within manufacturing or food production.
  • Language Skills – None
  • Computer / Software Skills – SAP, Excel, Outlook, Payroll Systems, Microsoft Word, Power Point
  • Travel requirements – None
  • Shift

    2nd (2pm – 10 : 30pm, with some variation coming in early or later based on production needs)

    Salary

    $83,000 – $100,000 with a 5% bonus
