Senior Project Manager- Temporary - full time

Duration : 12 month temporary role with the possibility of extension.

Location : New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, or Newfoundland

Hybrid : 2-3 days in office

CGI is seeking to hire a Project Manager in support of our strategic US Health Care Client. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the successful execution of large-scale, cross-functional projects aimed at mitigating organizational risk and maximizing strategic opportunities. You will oversee all phases of the project management lifecycle for complex, high-risk projects, typically spanning 6-18 months and often involving collaboration with external vendors.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Drive successful execution of large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Mitigate organizational risk and maximize strategic opportunities.
  • Manage all phases of project lifecycle for complex, high-risk projects.
  • Implement project management tools and methodologies.
  • Evaluate cost and feasibility of multiple options to resolve project issues.
  • Manage project budgets.
  • Organize teams across business and technology.
  • Develop relationships and navigate political issues.
  • Perform strategic analysis and risk mitigation.
  • Proactively identify conflict and integration issues.
  • Remove obstacles by anticipating challenges.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • 10-15 years of project management experience.
  • Experience with US Health Care
  • Proven communication with C-Suite Executives
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in process management.
  • Proven Risk Management experience; ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with CQI, TQM, PDCA, PMBOK, or other formal improvement techniques.
  • Proven track record of meeting project deadlines with successful outcomes.
  • Experience interacting and presenting weekly to leadership (VP, SVP, CXO),Desired skills :
  • Prior Heath Care Payor business and / or health insurance operations experience desired
  • Experience with Affordability of Care (AOC) and Total Cost of Care (TCOC) desired
  • Education :

  • Bachelor s degree or relevant experience (advanced degree preferred).
