GIS Drainage Summer Student (SS.26.10)

Position Description :

Reporting to the Drainage Superintendents, the incumbent will be expected to assist in the development and maintenance of the County’s GIS System, including elements to monitor and assess information related to the Engineering Department, including :

• Assist in creating new data layers for the County GIS and inputting data.
• Assist with creating, digitizing, scanning, and / or printing maps.
• Assist in the updating and maintenance of existing data.
• Assist in the collection of data and mapping of municipal infrastructure.
• Assist in analyzing collected data and querying specific data from the County’s GIS.
• Assist in surveying or inspecting municipal construction or maintenance projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Note :

Employment is conditional upon : attendance at all training sessions, submission of required documentation / certification, adherence to the minimum age requirements and ability to meet the employment term.

At time of application must be enrolled in a post-secondary education institution or institution of higher learning.

Applicants must submit a criminal record check (dated within the last 3 months) from their local police service for approval prior to commencing employment.
