Job description

Our valued public sector client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead process reviews ahead of an enterprise solution implementation.

Responsibilities :

Supporting the day-to-day project delivery, through reporting, coaching and providing guidance on project planning.
Performing reviews and report on deviations from schedule, financial variance, risk and issues
Ensuring compliance to organizational standards and guidelines, providing guidance to project team members on milestones and status reporting.
Participating in risk identification and supporting the development of mitigation strategies, taking corrective action to minimize overall impact on project or sub-project and providing regular status updates.
Organized the coordination and engagement with internal and external stakeholders, conducting conferences to identify project milestones, risks, and discuss ideas on potential solutions to any problems that have come up during project delivery.
Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
Translating technical documents in to layman's terms.
Liaising with technical teams.
Provide advice on what would be essential versus non-essential items within the project initiatives.

Must Have :

10+ years experience as a Project Manager

Experience working with Agile Methodology

Experience managing projects with large governance structure

Experience managing large Government of Canada IT initiatives

Nice to Have :

Proficiency in both English and French
