Overview
A Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and are reflective of reported inventory. The Cycle Counter will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers. The cycle Counter will also assist the Warehouse, Production, Engineering and Customer Service in locating materials.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Cycle count materials based on the “ABC” grouping system which will be monitored by the Inventory Control Manager.
- Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
- Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
- Responsible for answering Warehouse, Production and Engineering inquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist all teams locate materials.
- Utilize inventory management software (e.g., Sage) and other programs to enter counts and correct bin locations and other data adjustments.
- Exhibit excellent communication to effectively coordinate with the team and other stakeholders.
- Any other tasks or projects may be assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum 1 year experience (3 years preferred).Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Ability to squat, sit, stand, walk, reach daily and as needed to perform all job functions.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to work in a team as well as independently.Excellent communication skills. Ability to speak and write in English fluently to communicate with the team and supervisors.Must be able to follow procedures, best practices and report unsafe and unprofessional behavior.Working Conditions
Commercial / Industrial environment.Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).Long periods of standing.Overtime as required.Hourly Rate
CA$20.00 / hr. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
Location & Schedule
This role will be offered to work at our facility in Nisku on a day shift, Mon-Fri. No public transit is available close to our facilities; candidates must have their own vehicle or reliable transportation.
In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku.
