Job Posting : Part-Time / On-Call Traffic Control Security Guard. Location : Various event sites across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Position Type : Part-Time / On-Call. Compensation : $18.00 / hour (Base Rate : $17.20 + $0.80 Courses Premium).

About the Role

LTS Protective Services is hiring dependable and professional Traffic Security Guards for part-time and on-call assignments across the GTA. This role is ideal for individuals looking to work flexible hours while contributing to the safety and success of public and private events. A Traffic Control Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safe and orderly flow of vehicles and pedestrians by directing traffic, setting up control devices, and maintaining safety at work zones or event sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Traffic Flow :
• Guide vehicles and pedestrians safely around obstructions or hazards.
• Set up cones, barricades, signs, and other traffic control devices.
• Ensure Site Safety :
• Monitor safety procedures at road construction zones, entrances / exits of facilities, or during public events.
• Prevent unauthorized vehicles or persons from entering restricted areas.
• Communicate Effectively :
• Use hand signals, radios, or signage to give clear instructions.
• Coordinate with other guards, law enforcement, or site supervisors.
• Enforce Rules and Regulations :
• Ensure compliance with traffic and safety regulations.
• Report violations or unsafe behavior.
• Incident Response :
• Respond quickly to emergencies, accidents, or hazards.
• Maintain logs and reports of incidents or observations.
