System Administrator / SAN Support Analyst
We are currently looking for a System Administrator / SAN Support Analyst to support our client’s SAN Storage, Backup and virtualization environments.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems
- Alert management to emerging trends in incidents
- Liaise between resolver and other teams within the organization
- Provide server, storage and systems support to a diverse group of clients via phone, email or portal
- Diagnose and resolve problems and issues at a more advanced level with focus and attention to detail
- Provide suggestions for improving and assisting with documentation
- Prioritize problems; escalate high priority requests in a timely manner
- Develop an understanding of the customer’s environment and maintain technical knowledge
- Dispatch technical service regarding hardware problems
Qualifications
Good experience with VMware and other virtualization technologiesGood experience with SAN Storage technologies, arrays and best practicesExperience implementing, administering and supporting virtualization technologiesExperience with server BackupsExperience using Veeam Backup technologiesExperience with maximizing server disk space and server consolidationsExperience with Server restorationsGood knowledge of Windows ServersKnowledge of Linux ServersThis is a minimum 12 month contract role located in Toronto (work from home until deemed safe with occasional onsite visits).
