RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Under the supervision of the Technical Platform Manager - Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM), and following established governmental guidelines and regulations, the incumbent is responsible for conducting magnetic resonance (MRI) examinations for the RI-MUHC clinical studies, such as the studies of Dr. Marie Brossard-Racine and Dr. Pia Wintermark.
General Duties
• Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as per the clinical research protocol and the imaging manual in newborns at day 2 of life, in babies and children during natural sleep (CIM),
• Receives and prepares research participants,
• Explains the exam to parents,
• Ensures security around the magnetic field and conformity of equipment,
• Upload image to PACS or other methods as requested by the research team of the study,
• Meets the research teams, on request,
• Any other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Required Skills
• Advanced knowledge of oral and written French is required,
• An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with patients, researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English,
• Very high flexibility for schedules (unpredictable end of work shift),
• Excellent organizational skills, multiple priority management and multitasking,
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work alone,
