Job description

Job Title : Technical Specialist (HBase, Kafka, MQ, Solace, Python / Java / Scala)

Location : Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Contract Duration : 1 Year (with possibility for extension)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist with expertise in HBase, Kafka, MQ, Solace, and proficiency in Python or Java / Scala. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, preferably with experience in the banking sector.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data processing systems using HBase, Kafka, MQ, and Solace.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Implement best practices for data management, security, and performance optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data processing and messaging systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience with HBase, Kafka, MQ, and Solace.
  • Proficiency in Python or Java / Scala.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Banking experience is highly desirable.

  • This is a hybrid position based in Toronto, ON.
  • The initial contract is for 1 year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.
