Qualifications :
– Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Marketing, Arts, Fine Arts Communication
– A minimum of five (5) years directly related working experience is required
Skills required for success :
– Proven experience with data visualization techniques coupled with spatial data experience ( GIS)
– Experience advancing financial analysis, performance measurement and business analysis best practices with work units across a wide range of disciplines
– Demonstrated experience providing ‘analytic translation’ – providing a clear and inspiring approach to extract meaning from analytics using data, visuals and narrative
– Experience acting as a resource to staff members for advice and guidance on potential approaches and problem situations
– Skilled at analyzing data, deriving insights and building creative output in order to turn complex challenges into easy to understand formats
– Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects
– Ability to interact with clients, staff, management and senior executives to resolve complex challenges through visualization
– Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing, presenting and storytelling
– Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop strong relationships and work in a collaborative, integrated manner
– Strong knowledge of and experience with a variety of presentation, graphic design applications, and tools
Work Environment :
– Note : This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite as per the Letter of Understanding between the City of Edmonton and Civic Service Union 52
