Full-Time Temporary Humanities Teacher

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Temporary Humanities Teacher at Peace River High School . This position will commence on January 5 2026 and will continue until June 26 2026. The successful candidate will be teaching Englishand Social Studies 10-1 as well as Foods.

Peace RiverHigh School located in the Town of Peace River serves approximately 250 students in grades 9-12. Peace River Highs Regular Instructional Program includes a full range of academic core non-academic and options / complementary courses in single grade classrooms to meet the education to meet the diverse needs of students. Qualifications :

• Experience and / or training in teaching junior and senior level grades.
• Excellent communications skills with students staff and parents.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success.
• Proven ability to differentiate lessons to support students achievement.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A keen understanding of assessment practices.
• The ability to use technology to support learning in the classroom .

This teaching position falls under the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division.

Annual Salary Range : $ 66520 to $ 112451 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division).
