Fuel Transport is expanding rapidly and is looking for a Pricing Analyst for our office located in LaSalle QC. The person selected will be responsible for helping build the Quotation Team, sourcing rates for all regions, and managing and analyzing our client’s data.
Job Summary:
- Provide timely rates based on handling costs, fuel expenses, and business volumes.
- Handle all rate submissions including spot quotes, regular quotations, RFPs, and bids.
- Update the Rate Sheet for billing accuracy and share information internally with accounting.
- Analyze existing freight rates and recommend changes in rate structures and regulations.
- Validate billing errors and provide feedback for accuracy.
- Assist Operations in communicating rates to customers and internal clients.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding rates via phone or email.
- Coordinate bids and tenders, ensuring all necessary information is provided and deadlines are met.
- Manage all Customer RFPs using deep industry knowledge of truckload lanes and markets.
- Communicate expected volumes internally to proactively source dedicated equipment and carriers.
- Support the sales team by providing valuable information and data.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least four to nine (2-5) years’ experience or an equivalent combination with a proven track record of rate analysis within the third Party Logistic (3PL) industry.
- Proven experience in pricing analysis, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and customers.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems.
- Deep understanding of truckload lanes, markets, and Revenue Per Mile (RPM).
- Good knowledge of USA and Canada Geography.
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
- Bilingual in English and French.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
