Speech Language Pathologist
Bayshore Therapy & Rehab is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to work (casual or part-time) as an Independent Contractor in the Home and Community care setting.
The successful applicants will assess clients presenting with a variety of communication disorders and swallowing difficulties;
develop and implement treatment plans; and provide professional recommendations and support to clients, families, caregivers, and others involved in the client’s care.
Bayshore Therapy & Rehab works collaboratively with our funder, Home & Community Care Support Services, to ensure excellent client driven care and the best outcomes possible for our clients.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will :
Be dedicated to working with client populations in the home and community care setting. Complete Speech-Language and Swallowing assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that focus on achievement of client and family centered goals.
Provide written reports ensuring all documentation is aligned with the regulatory college and Bayshore Therapy and Rehab standards.
Be interested and have experience with use of technology driven solutions for care. Participate in team-based collaboration regarding client care.
Demonstrate well developed professional judgement and professionalism for working independently.

Other Responsibilities :
- Maintain active standing with the College of Audiologists & Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
- Participate in ongoing internal and / or external education activities
- Adhere to Bayshore Healthcare Policies and Procedures
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System
- Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties
- Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel
- Complete other tasks as requested
Education :
Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists or Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
Experience :
Experience providing Speech-Language Pathology services to patient populations in the home and community care setting is an asset.
Other Skills and Abilities :
Strong communication (oral and written) and exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills. Ability to handle difficult situations in an objective and consistent manner.
Ability to work independently and to effectively collaborate with a team. Demonstrate basic knowledge of personal computers, and proficiency with secure email.
Commitment to continued learning. Valid driver’s license.
