We are looking for a Plant Manager for our Caledon, Ontario facility.

Summary: The Plant Manager is responsible for the operations for the entire site including continuous panel line manufacture and ancillary processes. Ensuring site manufactures high quality product to standard manufacturing costs in an effective, safe, and profitable manner. This is accomplished through the direct management of subordinate managers and supervisors.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain the panel line to produce a quality product in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Ensure adherence to current quality, compliance, and HS&E standards.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
  • Ensure work orders are manufactured to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Assist in implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems.
  • Effectively lead subordinate manager, supervisors, and employees.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate production records.
  • Monitor, coordinate and assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Measure and improve on manufacturing variances.
  • Ensure correct data recording for all required reports.
  • Help resolve customer problems or complaints.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, seminars and training sessions as required.
  • Keep informed of all government rules and regulations and how they apply to the industry.
  • Measure and manage through Key Performance Indicators.
  • Aid in the development of staff.
  • Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.
  • Follow Compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”
  • Proven track record of lean manufacturing experience
  • Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies, conducting regular audits and inspections, leading incident investigations, and driving a proactive safety culture aligned with local regulations and company standards.

  • Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting for the plant.

  • Contribute to strategic planning and long-term operational goals.

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure uninterrupted production.

  • Support corporate environmental goals and implement sustainable manufacturing practice.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Formal education preferably Bachelor's degree or above.
  • 10 years manufacturing experience ideally in a continuous product environment.
  • Knowledge and practice of modern manufacturing techniques.
  • Knowledge of labor laws.
  • Knowledge of construction industry.
  • Know the operation of the panel producing equipment and accessory equipment.
  • Ability to calculate figures/amounts.
  • Ability to train and instruct employees.
  • Good analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills

Computer Skills:

  • Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook.

Other Skills and Requirements:

  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Up to 20% travel.
  • Sponsorship is NOT available.

Physical Demands:

  • Body Movement & Posture: Standing or walking for extended periods, frequent bending, stooping, crouching, or kneeling, climbing stairs or ladders, crawling, or working in confined spaces.
  • Manual Dexterity & Handling: Using hands and fingers to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects, operating machinery or tools with precision, repetitive motion tasks (e.g., packaging, sorting).
  • Strength & Lifting: Lifting and carrying materials (often 25–50 lbs.). Pushing or pulling carts, pallets, or equipment. Adjusting body movements to match the pace of moving objects.
  • Sensory Requirements: Near and far visual acuity for spotting defects or reading gauges. Hearing alarms, instructions, or machinery sounds. Peripheral vision for monitoring surroundings.
  • Cognitive & Environmental Factors: Maintaining focus in noisy or fast-paced environments. Performing tasks independently or in teams. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, or chemicals depending on the facility.

Compensation: $150k+ and annual bonus
