Now Hiring : R-3933 Data Analytics & Reporting Lead (6 month contract)

The Data Analytics & Reporting Lead plays a key role in promoting organizational transformation by providing consultative and analytical services within the Business Services Procurement Team and across business functions, which highly supports and drives decisions in order to enable critical Sourcing and Vendor Management activity.

Support and manage 360° procurement lifecycle : Analysis & Reporting, Sourcing, Procurement, Use, Vendor Management, and Risk Management. Lead the efforts to strengthen the use of data for research, management, and planning by providing tool development, process improvement, analysis and reporting related to the Business Services Procurement Team and the various business lines they support.

Work in partnership with Vendor Managers, those across different departments at all levels of the organization including Senior Management Team members, as well as external vendors as needed to collaborate on integrating outstanding practices through the use of benchmarking and data / analytics.

Key Accountabilities :

Analysis & Reporting :

  • Develop and present storyboards, scorecards, and dashboards used to communicate trends

and inspire change using data to leadership teams

  • Consults internal clients and provide sourcing and vendor related reporting on GTS Business
  • Services Procurement Team activities and clients' needs to guide decision-making

  • Build analytical reports based on asset data for GTS Business Services Team's clients in order to drive business decisions
  • Provides analytical support to spend owners for ongoing financial management including
  • monthly actuals reporting, quarterly forecasts and variance analysis and justifications for

    operating and capital expenses

  • Analyze technology costs in terms of business value and identify performance metrics for
  • business intelligence, insights and trends

    Sourcing :

  • Utilize departmental standard operating procedures to bring renewal contracts in at full value
  • and on time; focusing on business requirements and minimizing risk

  • Digest and analyze asset data to support sourcing transactions, focusing on creating cost
  • savings opportunities

  • Ensures business requirements aligned with sourcing strategies and practices
  • Use of research, benchmarking, and analysis of vendor proposals and contract agreements to
  • develop final recommendations related to negotiations, sourcing approaches / processes, and

    intake management for Vendor Managers

    Vendor Management :

  • Act as subject matter expert on financial operations / process / controls and ensures compliance
  • to internal policies and procedures

  • Participate in managing suppliers holistically for continuous improvements and value
  • optimization

  • Participates in multiple critical initiatives across different service areas
  • Monitors vendor performance against measured goals via contract management. For large
  • vendors, conducts active asset and inventory reviews to ensure continuous improvements on

    asset management and risk mitigation

  • Identify areas of potential and continuous improvement in the customer experience; develop
  • business processes and training documentation to streamline operations and increase

    efficiency

  • May be involved in high level sourcing as part of workload balance
  • Relationship Management :

  • Supports Vendor Managers in relationship building with key stakeholders and lines of business
  • across TMX

  • Support scheduled and ad-hoc data requests; Present information / analytics to customers in a
  • consultative manner

  • Helps to build and maintain Vendor Manager relationship with lines of business, Legal, Risk,
  • Audit, IT and external vendors as needed through reporting and data analysis

    Risk Management :

  • Develop and continuously mature the Supplier Risk Management Model to help monitor and
  • govern over 150 vendors

  • Create and manage workflow and process improvements
  • Risk reporting, tracking, and assessments for target strategic and net new vendors.
  • Support managing supplier commitments to agreed terms, TMX risk tolerances, and internal
  • stakeholder expectations

    Leadership :

  • Provide direction and lead all members of the team in relation to data analysis and reporting
  • and overall mentorship on decision making, negotiations, change and process mapping

  • Coordinate and help lead quarterly business reviews and cascade work down to rest of the
  • team

  • Act as the Lead on all major department project implementations which involve external vendors (Eg. ServiceNow)
  • Must Haves :

  • Demonstrated ability to be an active contributor in a collaborative environment and be willing to
  • take on problem ownership within the team

  • Very strong visualization, reporting, and analytical skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Provide reporting, analytical, and benchmark support using enterprise tooling such as Google
  • Suite, Workday and ServiceNow etc

  • Understanding of data analytical tools as well as the ability to identify trends and learn quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across the organization
  • Strong ability to communicate and interact with cross-functional teams and business partners
  • Technical curiosity and the understanding of how systems and databases work
  • Good problem solving skills and ability to apply appropriate tools and level of analysis to
  • specific situations

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Strong team player with effective communication skills, both verbal and written; and the

    Background / Experience :

  • Undergraduate degree in related field
  • 3+ years in procurement and vendor management services
  • 5+ years of significant accounting, finance, and / or experience working with statistics.
  • Advanced Google suite knowledge
  • Strong grasp on business technology with an overall technical aptitude
