Driver I Materiel Management (225083)

In accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reports to the Transport Supervisor. Responsible for the operation loading and unloading of a van light truck or trailer to pick up transport and drop off garbage linen ward supplies office furnishings recyclable materials food products laboratory specimens bio-hazardous material information material and other items according to defined schedules request log or dispatched instructions.

Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Valid Class 5 vehicle license.
