We are working with a company to identify a Lead Risk Specialist to work at Darlington's Nuclear site.

Duration : 1 year

Job Overview

  • Lead cross function risk review meetings and develop reports to management / executive
  • Strong capability to understand and diagnose project technical topics and related risks.
  • Able to capture different inputs from various SMEs and document with proper risk description characterization and mitigation action and status updates, etc in risk register.
  • Provide Project teams with risk assessment, risk measurement methodologies, and Risk Register establishment expertise through facilitating, assisting and training personnel.
  • Equip with strong analytical skills in costing and scheduling, and its implication in mitigation action evaluation and contingency development
  • Must have strong planning capability and experience with reporting using Microsoft office tools ( excel / access / etc).
  • Assist lines of business in the overall implementation of risk assessment and risk measurement methodologies, by coordinating the facilitation and training of personnel across all business units and major project teams.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and achieve results without step by step direction from manager on daily basis.
  • Able to plan work steps to align with manger’s expectation and objectives
  • Conduct major risk assessments, develop and implement new risk methodologies where differing points of view and diverse opinions of stakeholders requires a high degree of tact and diplomacy to resolve.
  • Analyze, research and maintain data in all areas of risk assessment and risk management programs, across OPG business units, major projects and externally.
  • Provide support for the development and implementation of effective and sustaining risk indicators and risk measurement tools in order to support lines of business with effective overall risk management.
  • Coordinate the facilitation of risk workshops for the establishment of business unit risk assessments.

Qualifications

  • A period of over 8 years and up to and including 10 years in engineering design, outage management, project management, etc is considered necessary to gain this experience.
  • Specific Project Management Experience in nuclear project refurbishment projects is desired.
  • Experience in contingency modeling is desired.
  • PMP certification is desired.
