Job description

Select People Solutions is pleased to be searching for a Project Management Lead to join our client in commercial construction. This new role will be responsible for overseeing large scale projects within steel building fabrication and construction, troubleshooting along the way. If you are an experienced team player looking for a role that allows you to develop and mentor a team of driven professionals, we want to hear from you.

Compensation & Hours :

The rate of pay will be based on industry and years of experience

Full-time, permanent role

Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lethbridge area or Edmonton, Alberta

Position Summary :

Define project scopes, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource needs

Complete key project documents and ensure they are uploaded in a timely manner

Collaborate with contractors, engineers and field teams to complete design and project goals

Train and mentor

Complete troubleshooting as needed, including with drawings, materials, fabrication, and building erection challenges

Refine and develop standard operating procedures that allow for sites and shop to work effectively with each other

Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations for both building codes and safety programs

Required Qualifications :

10+ years of experience in a project management role within a commercial or industrial construction setting

3-5 years of leadership experience that involves mentoring team members

Proven track record of managing contracts of $5 million + in value

Strong communication and troubleshooting skills

Bonus Points For :

Journeyman certification in Carpentry, Welder, or Ironworker

PMP Certification

Professional Gold Seal Certification
