Lifemark Health Group is seeking a personable and confident Registered Clinical Counsellor to join our stellar team in-clinic at the Lifemark Health -Lifemark Physiotherapy Surrey City Centre. Our Physiotherapy clinic is a spacious 3000 square foot facility offering inter and multidisciplinary team environment with private treatment rooms for Mental Health Counselling, Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy and Acupuncture. This clinic provides physiotherapy and rehab services to help you regain motion, reduce pain and achieve your functional goals.

In this role, the RCC will be supporting our interdisciplinary team and be responsible for the provision of intake assessments and treatment services for clients with a variety of psychological and physical diagnosis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with private clients as well as clients referred from third party funders.

Responsibilities :

Provide clients with assessment, consultation and psychoeducational services

Active participation in regular team conferences involving client and members of the interdisciplinary teams

Communicate effectively with staff members, clients, employers, referral sources, family members and other counsellors

Psychological case management input and direction to the therapy teams pertaining to initial assessment, treatment planning, clients' progress, conflict resolution, stakeholder discussions and problem solving, and discharge planning

Quality reporting and communication

Qualifications / Experience :

Master’s Degree in Counselling / Clinical Psychology

Professional registration as a full RCC with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) or CCC with the CCPA, with authorisation for independent practice

Knowledge of and experience with providing evidence-based treatment such as CBT, ACT, CPT, DBT, EMDR or Prolonged Exposure

Ability to use creative and structured approaches to assist clients to self-manage

Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other correspondence

Ability to communicate using different styles and methods to suit individual clients and situations
