Health Sciences Program Educator in British Columbia Canada

Discovery Community College is looking for a qualified individual to join their dynamic team as a Health Sciences Program Educator in British Columbia.    This position is responsible for leading and directing the overall educational, academic, and philosophical direction of the Health Care Assistant (HCA) and Practical Nurse (PN) programs within the Health Sciences Department.   Salary range $70,000 - $100,000 based on education levels and experience.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :   Program Management  Ensure that program and course curriculum(s) adhere to provincial curriculum (s) standards (BCCNM, CACHWR).  Instructor Management  Support, develop and mentor instructors in the Health Sciences department. Student Success  Support students learning journey.  Regulatory Organizations  Ensure HCA and PN program compliance with CACHWR and BCCNM standards.  Community Relationships  Maintain and develop relationships with community health care organizations. Qualifications & Experience  Provincial Instructor’s Diploma or an equivalent qualification (or be enrolled and actively pursuing to be completed within three years of hiring).  An active license through the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and in good standing.  Minimum of five years of relevant occupational experience.  Experience in digital literacy is required.
