  • Understand the competency profile : Appendix 17 - Reference document for competency profile- Traders at  https : / / www.ciro.ca / media / 956 / download?inline
  • Develop high-quality exam content (approximately 12-15 days of effort from May 1 to June 30,  2025) including :

Writing up to 200 questions following industry standards and guidance provided

  • Reviewing other SME’s questions and recommending revisions as needed
  • Revising questions as needed based on recommendations provided

    • Qualifications

  • Deep Knowledge of Canadian Financial Services specifically for Traders including comprehensive understanding of the regulations, markets, and key roles.
  • Experience working in the Canadian Financial Services industry specifically, in a Trader Approved Person role.
  • Understanding Exam Governance (structures, processes, requirements) including familiarity with sitting professional exams.

    • Nice-to-Haves :

  • Experience writing high-quality, accurate exam content with a focus on competency-based assessment for the Canadian Financial Services industry.
  • Knowledge of professional or regulatory examinations and their purpose within the context of competency-based assessments.
  • Experience in contributing to professional or regulatory exam content.
  • The individual must be willing to sign a Terms and Conditions Agreement which includes attesting to the following specific to the exam(s) they will be working on :

    • You are not currently employed and / or contracted in the design, development and / or delivery of training and / or materials to prepare individuals to sit the exam(s).

  • You will not be involved in the design, development and / or delivery of training and / or materials to prepare individuals to sit the exam(s) until 2 years have passed after the exam(s) has been made public.
  • You will not sit the exam(s) until 2 years have passed after the exam(s) has been made public.
