Job Overview

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer (II) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure to enable various data-driven processes across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Data Architecture Design : Develop robust data architectures using cloud-based solutions for seamless integration and high availability.
• ETL Processes Management : Design, implement, and optimize Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes ensuring efficient data retrieval from multiple sources.
• Teamwork & Coordination : Work closely with cross-functional teams including data specialists, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver valuable insights through efficient data pipelines.
• Quality Assurance : Ensure zero defects in production releases by implementing thorough testing protocols, maintaining formulation reliability, precisely executing tasks, and regularly prioritizing quality.
• Innovation Exploration : Identify opportunities for leveraging advanced technologies on Google Cloud Platform / GCP, conducting proofs-of-concept, effectively integrating innovative solutions, enhancing software stack functionality, and achieving recognized advancements.

What You Bring

Minimum 5 years of experience in Data mining working with large relational databases.
