Job description

Our client, a leader in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, is seeking a Truck and Trailer Technician-Compact Equipment to join their dedicated team. As a Truck and Trailer Technician-Compact Equipment, you will be an integral part of the service department supporting the maintenance and repair of various compact and tracked equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Truck and Trailer Technician-Compact Equipment

Location: Truro, NS

Pay Range: $62000 - $70000

Shift: Days

What's the Job?

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on compacy equipment, including bobcats, skid steers, and tracked machinery.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex problems and improve service processes.

What's Needed?

  • Certification from a technical school with equivalent experience or Canadian Red Seal in Heavy Duty Equipment preferred.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards in all tasks.
