Position Overview
Under the direction of the Program Director and in collaboration with the Radiology Director, the Senior Mammography Technologist provides effective and efficient performance of high quality breast imaging.
If there are no suitable qualified candidates, an underfill of a general medical radiation technologist will be considered with the expectation that Mammography Imaging 1 & 2 will be complete within two years of hire.
Experience
- One year working experience in a clinic environment and demonstrated ability to consistently produce high-quality mammograms.
- Experience working with Radiologists in interventional breast imaging.
- Experience in assisting with breast ultrasound + / - core biopsy, wire localization and clip placement and stereotactic core biopsy.
- Experience using RIS / PACS, an EMR (Aria preferred), MS Office Programs, email.
Education (Degree / Diploma / Certificate)
Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program.Mammography Certificate Course l and ll (equivalent combination of knowledge, training and experience may be considered).Certification / Licensure / Registration
Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (MAMRT).Maintain professional recertification.Qualifications and Skills
