Career opportunity:
We currently have a career opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role will be located at our head office in Vancouver, BC and will report to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. The Financial Analyst will collaborate with varying departments and internal stakeholders. We are looking for a highly motivated, high performing, results‑driven candidate.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the fee calculation/reconciliation process and validating calculations;
- Performing daily and monthly reconciliations of fees to ensure the accuracy of information;
- Reporting and maintaining financial, pricing, sales, and operational data/metrics in dashboards and forecasts;
- Supporting the production of detailed, bottom‑up budgets and forecasts to support short‑term and long‑term strategic planning;
- Developing and maintaining financial models;
- Preparing monthly internal financial packages;
- Review month‑over‑month and year‑over‑year trends and provide commentary;
- Providing support to the accounting function as required;
- Developing working relationships with relevant business units and departments, while assisting them in achieving the organization’s strategic and financial priorities;
- Identifying opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve processes.
The ideal candidate for this position has:
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting or financial management;
- A CPA (or CFA) designation or working towards a CPA (or CFA) designation is an asset;
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance or accountancy role;
- Strong attention to detail, ability to identify errors quickly, and review work thoroughly to ensure accuracy and quality;
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs;
- Experience working in the financial services industry is an asset;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines and changing work volume;
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment;
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $90,000 per annum (actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
