Salary : Excluded Band 2, starting at $71,985-$89,981 annually

About the Opportunity :

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at CLBC, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a diverse and inclusive workplace at CLBC.

You'll coordinate full-cycle recruitment, partner with hiring managers, and champion inclusive hiring to build teams that support adults with developmental disabilities in BC.

If you're a skilled recruiter who thrives on making connections, improving processes, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience, we'd love to hear from you! Familiarity with in-house recruitment and unionized environments is a plus!

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment for diverse roles while ensuring compliance with policies and agreements
  • Work closely with hiring managers as a trusted advisor, aligning recruitment strategies with the unique needs of CLBC and their teams.
  • Source top talent through social media, job boards, networking, and partnerships
  • Build strong talent pipelines for high-priority and recurring roles
  • Create an inclusive candidate experience by ensuring accessibility and clear communication throughout the hiring journey
  • Champion equity, diversity, and inclusion by reducing barriers and attracting diverse talent
  • Review recruitment processes, suggest improvements, and track key metrics to enhance efficiency and quality

What you will bring :

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with success in sourcing and hiring for a range of roles
  • Diploma, certificate, or bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience recruiting within unionized or public sector environments is an asset
  • Professional designations such as RPR or CPHR are assets
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
  • We're also looking for :

  • In-depth understanding of employment standards, human rights legislation, and legal considerations in recruitment
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing strategies, and applicant tracking systems
  • Knowledge of EDI principles and accessibility requirements in hiring
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive problem-solving and adaptability to address recruitment challenges effectively
