We are a manufacturing facility that makes corrugated sheets and boxes. Nothing fancy, but everyone needs boxes and we are busy and growing! We make boxes for some of the world’s largest suppliers and we need people who want a career in manufacturing to be part of our Smurfit Westrock family.

Job Opportunity:

This position offers backup to the Customer Service Representatives during peak vacation time.

The CSR receives and processes routine customer orders, handles inquiries, and/or complaints covering items or products ordered. Maintains an ongoing relationship with selected customers/port folio of accounts and sales staff. The CSR utilizes knowledge of products and product availability to provide a communications link to the customer. Apply some advanced skills to the position within functional area. Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine. Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. The incumbent works under general supervision.

Candidates must be enrolled in a post-secondary education program in order to be considered for this position.

What you will be doing:

  • Records and processes orders and/or inquiries received by mail, telephone, and/or through customer personal contact
  • Provides schedule information within established guidelines
  • Tracks orders and alerts appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems
  • Attains pricing for any services and materials required for the manufacturing of customer’s item that must be manufactured at a different facility

What you need to succeed:

  • Excellent communication, ownership, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written; ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships; and a team player
  • Ability to allocate one's time effectively, ability to prioritize workload; ability to work at a detailed level
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems; ability to take decisive action
  • Intermediate to advance skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Be able to work from May to the end of August
