Senior Jira Administrator

Position Description:

Preferred Hybrid from CGI Atlantic Canada offices/Remote from Ontario

We are seeking a Senior Jira Administrator to manage configure and optimize Jira platforms to support enterprise-level delivery reporting and portfolio management needs. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Jira administration including the setup of extended hierarchies (e.g. portfolio or program levels) and integrations with enterprise tools such as Clarity and other ALM/PPM platforms.

This will be a six-month term position with a possibility of extension.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Administer and maintain Jira (Cloud or Data Center) including projects workflows issue types schemes permissions and security.
Design and configure advanced Jira issue hierarchies beyond standard Epic/Story levels (e.g. Initiatives Capabilities Portfolio items).
Manage custom fields screens automation rules and validation logic.
Configure Jira to support portfolio program and cross-team visibility.
Enable roll-up reporting and traceability across multiple hierarchy levels.
Configure and maintain integrations between Jira and external platforms such as Clarity.
Support data synchronization field mappings and workflow alignment.
Create and maintain Jira dashboards filters and reports.
Define and enforce Jira usage standards and best practices.
Provide stakeholder support troubleshooting and user enablement.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

7 years of experience administering Jira in an enterprise environment.
Strong experience with advanced Jira configuration and multi-level hierarchies.
Experience with Jira integrations/connectors preferably Clarity.
Solid understanding of Agile Scrum Kanban and scaled Agile frameworks.
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have
Experience with Jira Align or Advanced Roadmaps.
Familiarity with REST APIs.
SAFe or enterprise Agile experience.
Jira Administration certification.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range is $38.46$62.50. This role is a future opportunity.
