As a Strategic Partnerships Leader, you will be joining the TELUS Health Growth and Strategic Relationships team responsible for leading the relationships and development of key strategic partnerships in the Group Insurance Industry. Work with the business units and product teams to identify and explore opportunities, in addition to potential cross-sell opportunities throughout our broader organization, including TELUS Business Solutions (TBS), TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods (TAC), and TELUS International (TI). Our mandate is to ensure our partners are receiving the support required to successfully resell our solutions, allowing them to meet their business objectives. In the role, you will :

  • Take a consultative approach in working with strategic partners to build a mutually beneficial plan that aligns with the partner’s key priorities and drives revenue growth
  • Build a plan to regularly engage with strategic partners, fostering innovation and strengthening the overall relationship
  • Partner closely with sales and head of strategic partnerships ensuring collaboration across business units to drive product intensity across TELUS Health partner base
  • Leverage all product and service lines across TELUS Health, in addition to our broader partner solutions within TBS, TAC and TI, to complete a holistic growth plan that meets partner needs and objectives
  • Protect existing revenue by ensuring partner satisfaction, adding value and at times leading the renewal process
  • Follow a governance framework and regularly report partnership results to leadership
  • Understand partner’s buying process and effectively engage in the product development and budgeting cycles
  • Develop relationships with potential new partners, nurturing sales opportunities and navigate complex sales cycles with many stakeholders

  • Translating industry knowledge, competitive market dynamics, general business acumen and deep understanding of partner’s business needs into value added insights & solutions
  • Setting a clear vision, strategy and plan for deepening and expanding the partner relationships for which they are responsible
  • Navigates complex relationships :

  • Make connections at all levels of partner’s business with a strategy to engage executives and expand relationships across the organization
  • Ability to engage stakeholders, including influencers
  • Build strategies to develop and manage national relationships
  • Ability to manage internal relationships across business lines to execute on partner strategy
  • Mobilizes internal teams :

  • Leads all aspects of partner strategy through the active management of an account plan, ensuring that all internal stakeholders are engaged
  • Facilitate an integrated approach to partner delivery ensuring that teams have a thorough understanding of our partner across delivery areas
  • Energize and motivate internal teams to ensure high levels of partner satisfaction and to identify and progress opportunities for growth
  • Support and hold internal teams accountable to resolve service delivery issues when they arise
  • Leverage full suite of TELUS Health capabilities :

  • Create two-way dialogue with partners to identify market trends, understand gaps and test new solutions
  • Mobilize the right expertise and capabilities from across the broader organization to bring the right solutions to our partners
  • Design solutions that fit by blending all TELUS Health services, solutions, and technology capabilities
  • Additional requirements :

    Client Relationship Partner – Strategic Partnerships’

  • Business experience that includes directly managing and supporting complex partners
  • Experience developing channel / reseller sales models
  • A strong understanding of Canadian insurance industry, benefit plans, and the mental health landscape are key
  • An understanding of TELUS Health solutions and capabilities is an asset
  • Consulting or HR administration / outsourcing experience is an asset
