Summary of role : The Culture and Talent Success Specialist plays a key role in shaping our team experience, supporting the success and well-being of every employee. This person is responsible for recruiting top talent, onboarding new hires, driving engagement, ensuring training and compliance, and maintaining a strong, connected company culture. They serve as a bridge between leadership and the field, making sure our people feel heard, valued, and aligned with our vision.

  • Key Responsibilities

    Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Source and attract qualified candidates who align with our company values
  • Coordinate interviews, hiring processes, and pre-employment steps
  • Design and lead onboarding programs to ensure a smooth start for new hires
  • Team Engagement & Support

  • Conduct regular check-ins with staff to support their growth and engagement
  • Coordinate team performance reviews and gather feedback from all levels
  • Facilitate employee surveys to monitor morale and identify improvement areas
  • Plan and execute team-building events, celebrations, and recognition initiatives
  • Culture & Communication

  • Be a cultural ambassador—live and promote our values across the company
  • Lead critical conversations when needed to resolve conflict or course-correct
  • Capture on-site moments and stories to share on our social media platforms (Please note this responsibility will fall on marketing position when the company is scaled to the point of requiring a dedicated marketing role)
  • Training, Compliance & Safety

  • Coordinate ongoing training programs, certifications, and professional development
  • Ensure health & safety protocols are followed and communicated clearly
  • Stay up to date with HR and employment legislation to maintain legal compliance
  • Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain and update HR systems and records
  • Identify and improve internal processes related to employee experience and compliance

    Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Time-to-hire : Average number of days from job posting to offer acceptance
  • New hire 90-day retention rate : % of new hires still with the company after 90 days
  • New hire satisfaction score : Collected via post-onboarding surveys (scale of 1–10)
  • Job offer acceptance rate : % of candidates who accept offer
  • Team Engagement & Development

  • Quarterly team check-ins completed : % of employees met with at least once per quarter
  • Annual performance review completion rate : % of staff with reviews completed on time
  • Training participation rate : % of employees who completed required training modules
  • Employee satisfaction score : From quarterly or biannual anonymous surveys
  • Internal promotion rate : % of roles filled from within the company

  • Qualifications

  • G License required.
  • HR Certification or training
  • 1+ years of industry experience in a similar role.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and strong computer literacy.
  • Willingness to obtain ASM & CSP certifications and FSM training / certifications (within 90 days)
  • Willingness to travel for industry conferences.
  • PREFERRED : Construction, Landscape, Trade company experience.

  • Please note this position is not bound by hours, but rather responsibilities and metrics. The following are typical hours to service our people, clients and community.
  • Summer Hours - 9am to 5pm – Monday to Friday + Hours where content is available outside of regular office hours.
  • Appearance

  • Compensation & Perks

  • Salary $50,000-70,000 Based on previous experience
  • 3 weeks’ Vacation + 5 PEL days
  • Health / Dental / Life / Medical Coverage as per current CCG policy and plan.
  • Profit Sharing as per policy (2025 : TBD)
  • Contract type : Contract – Full Time (1-year terms). Convertible to full time employment at the company’s discretion but only available to in office team members.

  • Conestoga Contracting Group Inc reserves the right to adjust any scope of work, role description, or any of the above to meet its business needs. Team members will have 15 days to comply and adjust if they wish to reserve their existing position.
