Software Developer (AMANDA)

Job Description

On behalf of our public sector client, we are looking for a Senior Software Developer for a 1-year contract, with possible extension. Work model : remote, from anywhere in Canada. If working remotely is not feasible, accommodation can be made to work from the onsite location. Our client requires a Senior Software Developer with a strong background in AMANDA (Granicus) enterprise to provide software development services, focusing on the digitalization of permitting and licensing services. The project involves designing, building / modifying, and implementing land development applications in the AMANDA 7 system and a new Permits Online Platform interface for electronic processing and online self-service. The project will be delivered in two phases, both of which must be in production by December, 2025. The client reserves the right to award any future phases of work to the selected candidate(s) from the selected vendor. The expected engagement duration is 1757 hours over 251 workdays, with 35 hours per week over the length of the engagement. Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Data and Applications, the Senior Software Developer will :

• Design, develop, and create AMANDA (Granicus’ solution) folders, processes, and checklists.
• Design and develop Oracle PLSQL stored procedures, functions, etc.
• Deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize solutions for AMANDA running on Apache Tomcat application server.
• Recommend features, and design, and implement innovative solutions to improve platform performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Qualifications : 1. Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software development. 2. Proven experience of minimum 2 years within the last 5 years of development and customization of AMANDA (Granicus’ solution) version 6 or higher (mandatory). 3. Proven experience of minimum of 5 years with Oracle databases (mandatory). 4. Experience with Apache Tomcat application server configuration. 5. Experience implementing complex business processes (government, public sector, financial institutions, insurance holdings companies or other regulatory compliance workflows) into AMANDA in a software developer role.
