Protection Point Service Plans is growing again, and we are looking to add to our dynamic Sales Team. Reporting to our Vice President, this new full-time position offers great growth opportunity for the right candidate.

Protection Point Service Plans is the premier heavy equipment warranty provider in Canada. We support manufacturers, distributors and dealers in the Agriculture, Construction, Material Handling, Road Machinery and Forestry Industries.

We are a licensed insurance brokerage with over 20 years of warranty sales in Canada and we are looking for an experienced, personable Business Development Manager with a track record in exceeding goals and sales targets.

Working with our senior sales team, this position will be responsible for developing new dealers whilst executing the growth of the existing customer base to meet and or exceed the annual divisional revenue budgets.

The company’s vision is to build strong relationships with our customers and provide them personal service and support.

Compensation : Protection Point Service Plans Inc. offers a full-time position with a starting salary of $100,000 plus a bonus structure for up to $15,000 per annum.

Enhanced benefits are available and fully funded by the company. Car allowance of $750 per month and fully covered travel costs.

Generous vacation and all equipment for a home office set up provided.

Business Development Manager

  • Participate in the formulation of the sales strategy and plan for the assigned territory to accomplish the financial targets for the Construction, MH and RM division.
  • Engage the Dealer Principle or Corporate Departmental Budget Holder to present the value of Equipment Warranties beyond the OEM Base Warranties and promote Protection Point Programs.
  • Execute Onboarding Process and provide support to both the Sales, Service and Warranty divisions of the dealer network.
  • Present and execute dealer training to include warranty sales and program understanding, claims processes and Protection Point Portal access.
  • Develop an awareness / insight into OEM and competitive offerings in order to identify threats or opportunities to dealers / market share.
  • Receive leads and action sales & marketing initiatives.
  • Attend relevant trade shows and represent Protection Point with professionalism, knowledge and with integrity.
  • Understand and communicate licensing requirements for new dealers (In BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia) and ensure compliance is in place.
  • Collaboration with internal departments and demonstrate the ability to work as a team player.

The successful candidate will have the discipline to work from home and preference is to be in the GTA or Golden Horseshow region of Ontario.

For the right candidate, the location of the position is flexible with the understanding the territory will focus across Canada.

The successful candidate will have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to one - two weeks per month in regions across Canada.

Preference will be given to candidates who are bi-lingual with a background in Construction Service, warranty, and sales.

A Level 1 Insurance license is required for this position. Protection Point will facilitate the acquisition of licensing and renewals.
