REPORTS TO : Mitigation Manager According to Paul Davis, a General Laborer is someone who is either starting in the industry or working towards becoming a Technician by obtaining Industry Specific Certifications.

Under the supervision of a Crew Chief and / or Mitigation Manager, this position is responsible for responding to jobs involving water and / or fire damage to properties.

The role includes supporting damage tear-out, debris removal, contents removal and area cleaning.

Essential Job Functions

• Cut, bag, and lift bags of damaged drywall, carpet, pad, and assorted debris.
• Move heavy equipment in and out of vehicles and into buildings where it is needed.
• Move contents safely into secured storage.
• Source materials & equipment needed on job sites, as requested by Crew Chiefs.
• Assist in cleaning job sites and equipment after demolition has been completed.
• Understand the importance of proper PPE usage in a variety of circumstances.
• Participates in a regularly scheduled on-call rotation, and is often required to provide on-call support as weather events and emergencies arise.
• Able to work around a variety of approved chemicals without any adverse reaction or sensitivity.
• Follows established safety practices including the proper use of PPE when required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must clear a criminal background check.
