Job description

Bradford Jacobs is assisting an enterprise drone technology firm focusing on drone development and a range of software solutions, including payment, plant tracking, hemp business management, supply chain, compliance, and government auditing software as they look to hire a Certification Specialist.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Drone Industry Certification Specialist to join their team. As a Certification Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring drone operations comply with all relevant regulations and industry standards. You will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining certifications, conducting training, and advising on regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities :

Certification Management :

  • Research and understand federal, state, and local regulations governing drone operations.
  • Identify and apply for necessary certifications, such as Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificates and waivers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards.

Training and Development :

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on drone regulations, safety procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to ensure compliance and skill development.
  • Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, checklists, and presentations.
  • Regulatory Compliance :

  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Advise on risk mitigation strategies to minimize legal and operational risks.
  • Incident Reporting :

  • Investigate and report drone incidents and accidents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze incident reports to identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Industry Networking :

  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Qualifications :

  • Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations, including Part 107.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the drone industry, preferably in operations, training, or compliance.
