Your new company
Hays has partnered with an ICI Construction Manager who has been in business for 30+ years, serving their clientele in the Greater Toronto Area. They primarily focus on institutional, commercial and industrial projects, both base build and renovation, ranging from $2M in value up to $25M. The current need is for a Senior Project Manager to report directly to the two partners of the company.
Your new role
The open role is for a Senior Project Manager who has the ability to represent our client's reputable brand and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Reporting directly to the owners, this individual will manage 2–3 projects at a time, ranging from $2M to upwards of $25M in value. They will help with estimation, procurement, dealing with trades and site personnel and most importantly deal directly with respective clients. They will ensure all projects are completed in a timely manner, within the proposed budget and with quality and safety at the forefront.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years in ICI construction, having completed both base build, design build, and / or renovation projects. They will be an effective communicator, have the ability to manage trades and direct site personnel, and have strong business acumen in dealing with clients. Furthermore, they will have experience working on projects with high-end finishes, and that are more complex in nature. Any experience working on dealerships would be considered an asset. They must be able to work independently and part of a collaborative team.
