We are currently hiring for a Service Journeyperson Electrician in Nanaimo, BC and the surrounding areas. Compensation for this role is in between $38 / hour to $42 / hour, immediate health and dental benefits, and RRSP matching after one year. When you factor these together the total compensation is between $40.89 / hour and $45.01 / hour!

Responsibilities

• Installation and troubleshooting of all electrical components in multi-family residential, commercial and institutional structures
• Use hand tools, ladders, and standard construction power tools safely and appropriately
• Handle, prepare, and install electrical materials and equipment
• Support a clean, organized, and safe worksite
• Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
• Follow safety programs and policies, wear appropriate PPE, and attend safety training as required
• Present a positive, can-do attitude in the workplace and with our clients
• Testing and measurement with multi-meters, meggers, etc.
• Instruction and leadership of apprentices
• Maintain punctual, reliable attendance and professional conduct on site
• Understanding of Arc Flash and Lock-out / Tag-out procedures
• Maintaining strict adherence to relevant industry and Mazzei Electric safety standards
• Perform electrical service calls, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs in occupied buildings
• Diagnose system faults efficiently and recommend appropriate repair solutions
• Communicate professionally with customers, building operators, and site contacts
• Complete service work orders, time entries, and material tracking accurately in company systems
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory in a clean and organized manner
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality
• Participate in on-call and after-hours service rotation as required
• Additional duties as required.
