Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Production Coordinator for our Milling division based in Cambridge, ON.
P&H Milling P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company.
The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products.
The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati.
In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.
From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.

This role is essential in maintaining a balanced supply chain, managing vendor relationships, analyzing market trends, and ensuring cost-effective procurement.
The coordinator will collaborate with internal teams like Sales, Finance, and Operations to optimize costs, ensure timely delivery, and contribute to procurement improvements.
Day to Day Grain Procurement : Procure various wheat classes to maintain supply balance Provide timely quotes to Sales based on live commodity markets Maintain accurate grain contract records Reconcile futures accounts daily Additives & Packaging : Communicate supply issues impacting operations Analyze costs and identify cost reduction opportunities Monitor inventory, raise purchase orders, and evaluate supplier performance Resolve pricing, quality, and delivery issues with suppliers Administration : Maintain grain contracts, process receipts, and handle related invoices Support mill receivers and troubleshoot receiving issues Manage sales contracts and assist with month-end reporting Provide support to Commodity and Material Coordinators Assist with other procurement-related tasks and projects Required Qualifications Post-Secondary degree in Business or Supply Chain Management Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilities Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets Keen attention to detail and accuracy An extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel Work and grow with a family-owned company.
