Responsibilities
Responsibilities
As a Forklift Operator, your primary duties will revolve around the precise and safe handling of materials. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the flow of products through the distribution center.

Operate a Sit-down Counterbalance forklift with a specialized Clamp attachment to move, locate, relocate, and stack products.

Perform essential shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trailers with precision and care.

Handle boxes and cartons containing bathroom fixtures, ensuring product integrity is maintained throughout the handling process.

Utilize RF (Radio Frequency) scanners to accurately track inventory, process orders, and manage stock levels within the warehouse management system.

Collaborate effectively with the warehouse team to prepare products for distribution, ensuring orders are fulfilled correctly and on schedule.

Build and stage pallets, ensuring they are stable, secure, and ready for transport.

Wrap pallets using appropriate materials and techniques to protect goods during transit.

Employ manual equipment such as a pump truck to maneuver pallets and assist in loading procedures.

Conduct daily pre-operational safety checks on the forklift and other equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite, adhering to all company safety policies and provincial regulations.

Participate actively in the Manufacturing & Logistics team's efforts to meet and exceed productivity targets.

Qualifications
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this specialized Forklift Operator position. These qualifications are essential for success and safety in the role.

A minimum of two (2) years of proven, recent experience operating a Sit-down Counterbalance forklift with a Clamp attachment.

A valid and current external forklift operator's license (Class 1) from a recognized Ontario training institution is mandatory. Internal or expired licenses will not be accepted.

Must own a pair of CSA-approved steel-toed safety shoes.

A strong desire for a long-term career opportunity within the Manufacturing & Logistics sector.

Ability to successfully pass a practical forklift assessment.
